We feel pleasure in presenting the first edition of our book ’’Physical Chemistry” for Pharmacy Students. The book has been prepared strictly according to unified syllabus for Pharmacy. The book is designed to lay a strong foundation of chemistry. There are 4 chapters in this book covering various aspects of Physical Chemistry. Each chapter deals with fundamental principles of the subject and includes a large number of well labelled drawings, Illustrations, tables and graphs. Every chapter encompasses within it numerous solved examples and problems for practice. To widen the horizon of the understanding of the students, each chapter is also appended with conceptual questions along with their solutions. Keeping in mind the pattern of questions asked in the examinations the questions in this text book has been framed under four categories—Objective Questions, Very Short-Answer Questions, Short-Answer Questions and Long-Answer Questions. This enables the students to have a through assessment of their understanding of the subject.
