This book is intended for Post-Graduate Students who are undertaking courses of Nuclear Physics and for research scholars who wish to refresh their knowldege of Nucelear Physics. An experimental approach has been adopted because most nuclear physicists are concerned with experimental techniques. The useful mathematical symbols and simple mathematicsl techiniques and formulas have been used. Nuclear Physics is a complexx subject and yet there is no well established Nuclear force law. In the present book an effort has been made to explain the known experimental nucelar facts with the help of the theoretical nuclear concepts. The book has been written on the basis of my teaching of nuclear physics to M.Sc. and M. Phil. Classes in India and Abroad for more than 40 years. In selecting the illustrative material for the various chapters an emphasis has been placed on the relevance, significance and easisly available published data. There has been no attempt to give an exhaustive treatment of the nuclear processes. The references have been given at the end of each chapter which are suitable for further reading of the topics.
