A uniform syllabus in Physics for All U.P. State Universities for B. Sc. II is being implemented from this academic session 2021-22. Accordingly “Electromagnetic Theory and Modern Optics” is revised for B.Sc. II year third Semester students. The present work is an effort to meet the requirement of this course. It has strictly been arranged according to the requirement of new uniform syllabus except at certain places to maintain continuity.
