Bio-organic Chemistry is one of the most important interdisciplinary branches of science. This branch is not new and is being studied since long, which dates back to Pasteurean age (1850s). New advancements in the field are taking place at supersonic speed. In this book an attempt has been made to touch essential features of Bio-organic Chemistry with special reference of enzymes. As Bio-organic Chemistry involves application of organic processes like oxidation, reduction, addition, elimination, rearrangement, isomerization, transport phenomenon across membranes by diffusion, osmosis etc. to biological systems of animals and plants; biological phenomena have been explained in light of these.
