I am pleased to edit this book for the students of English pursuing B.A., Semester II. An attempt has been made to make the book cater to the needs of all students and teachers. The book contains the prescribed texts, introduction to the poets and the poems and meanings of difficult words. All the topics from all the eight units have been addressed. Compiling this book was indeed a gratifying, pleasing and at the same time arduous piece of work.
