In this edition, some changes have been made both editorially and substantivity. The third chapter has been rewritten by incorporating the ‘post-bureaucratic’ form that is slowly emerging both as a real-life phenomenon and a new organizational concept. A new chapter has been added dealing exclusively with “New Public Management”. This is, in a way, the new incarnation of administrative study which has even been declared as a new paradigm. It is expected that this second edition will be accorded the same reception as its predecessor.
