While preparing for Civil Services Examinations 1 have had the opportunity to occasionally go through a plethora of books on Indian history. In course of my preparation, I was able to notice that though some books, like those brought out by NCERT, serve as indispensable means for every aspirant to develop an insight into the basics of Indian history, there is hardly any book or study material on history that can be treated as an all-inclusive and absolutely dependable one, encapsulating information regarding the entire gamut of issues appertained to this subject
